Hummer was a brand of large SUVs and trucks derived from the military HMMWV (Humvee). The H2 became a cultural phenomenon in the early 2000s, symbolizing excess and off-road capability. The original Hummer brand was discontinued in 2010, but the nameplate was revived as a GMC sub-brand for an electric supertruck.
